Title: Inside Account Manager
Location: Franklin, TN (Onsite)
Position Overview
The Inside Account Manager (IAM) is responsible for managing and growing a defined portfolio of customer accounts. Based in our Franklin office, this position is part of a centralized inside sales team and plays a key role in proactive account management, cross-selling, and executing a disciplined, CRM-driven sales strategy.
Account Management & Growth
- Own and manage a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts
- Ensure consistent purchasing activity and identify growth opportunities
- Drive increased share of wallet across product lines
- Position Novvia as the customer’s primary and preferred supplier
Customer Engagement
- Maintain regular outreach across all assigned accounts (minimum quarterly touchpoints)
- Execute a structured call cadence based on account size and opportunity
- Conduct ~100–150 customer conversations per week
- Serve as the main point of contact and trusted partner for customers
Cross-Selling & Collaboration
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across business units
- Support assigned operating companies, with the ability to expand across the full portfolio
- Partner with field sales and internal teams to grow and strengthen relationships
CRM & Performance Tracking
- Accurately document all interactions, activities, and opportunities in CRM
- Maintain up-to-date account notes and contact records
- Use data to prioritize outreach and drive performance
Customer Support
- Respond to inquiries and resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Finance)
- Assist with quoting, order follow-up, and account-related needs
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma 2–3 years of relevant experience in account management, inside sales, or customer-facing roles
- or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Experience managing a high-volume book of business
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain high-volume outreach with consistency
- Experience using CRM systems
- Customer-focused with strong ownership and accountability
Preferred
- Experience in packaging, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sales
- Exposure to multi-product or multi-business environments
- Experience with cross-selling or portfolio-based sales
