Job Description
The HR Coordinator will support daily human resources operations while contributing to key initiatives across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and HR programs. This role works closely with a small HR team and plays an important part in maintaining efficient processes and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for employee HR-related questions and provide timely support
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems accordingly
- Assist with employee lifecycle changes including onboarding, transitions, and offboarding
- Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation
- Support new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate payroll-related updates
- Help maintain compliance with employment regulations and internal policies
- Generate reports and assist with HR data tracking and audits
- Support employee engagement initiatives, trainings, and internal events
- Assist with HR projects and process improvements as needed
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, administrative, or coordination roles
- Experience in nonprofit or association environments preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, or Paycom
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Smartsheet) is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- High level of discretion with sensitive information
- Adaptable, team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Associate’s degree required
- This is a newly created position
- Team size: 3 (including this role)
- Organization size: Approximately 135–145 employees
- Interview process: Two rounds (virtual and onsite)
