Position Title: Govcon Senior Accountant
Location: Reston, VA - hybrid role
Assignment Type: Contract
Compensation: $43-48/hr (depending on qualifications)

Job Overview:
- Manage full-cycle accounting with a focus on compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations
- Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with CAS and contract terms (e.g., T&M, CPFF, FFP)
- Review indirect rate calculations and support preparation of incurred cost submissions (ICS) to DCAA
- Monitor contract billing, funding, and revenue to ensure alignment with contract ceilings and modifications
- Support audits and reviews by external auditors and government agencies (e.g., DCAA, DCMA)
- Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis related to government contracts
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies specific to GovCon requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, contracts, and compliance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on GovCon-specific accounting principles and practices
Qualifications:
- 4 years' staff / senior accountant exposure
- 2 years' Costpoint experience
- Advanced Excel
- Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting
