Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced US Controller to lead its U.S. accounting function. This role oversees accounting operations across multiple U.S. entities and offices, manages a small team, and partners closely with finance leadership in Europe. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, proven people leader, and hands-on accounting professional with experience in financial services.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for multiple U.S. entities
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, forecasting, and accounting operations
- Manage and develop accounting staff supporting multiple U.S. offices
- Coordinate annual audits, financial statements, and regulatory reporting
- Partner with internal and external tax advisors on federal, state, and local tax matters
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with payroll, retirement plan, and regulatory requirements
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across the finance function
- Collaborate with global finance teams and business stakeholders across multiple regions
Key Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Financial services experience required; private equity experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within a global or multinational organization
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, audits, tax, and internal controls
- CPA and/or public accounting background preferred
- Experience with process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives
Salary : $150 - $175
