Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and support enterprise application delivery platforms, including traffic management, secure access, and DNS services.
- Implement modern authentication approaches (such as federated identity and token-based access) to support secure application access.
- Develop and maintain custom traffic-handling logic and policies to meet application-specific requirements.
- Improve application availability and performance through load distribution, encryption handling, and intelligent routing strategies.
- Investigate and resolve issues impacting application delivery, uptime, or user access.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration within the broader environment.
- Leverage monitoring and analytics tools to proactively identify risks and performance concerns.
- Support web application security initiatives by configuring and maintaining protections against common vulnerabilities.
- Streamline operational tasks through scripting or automation tools where applicable.
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Keep up with evolving technologies and best practices within application delivery and network security.
- Hands-on experience working with enterprise-grade application delivery or load balancing platforms.
- Experience building and troubleshooting custom traffic rules or policies.
- Solid understanding of application-layer networking concepts (Layer 4–7), including web protocols and encryption.
- Exposure to web application security concepts and protection mechanisms.
- Familiarity with core networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
- Experience using scripting or automation tools to support infrastructure (e.g., APIs, configuration management, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Mid-Level: Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical exposure.
- Senior-Level: Typically 5–8 years of experience with increased ownership and technical depth.
- Lead-Level: 8 years of experience with leadership, design, and strategic responsibilities.
- Relevant certifications in application delivery, networking, or security.
- Exposure to cloud-based or hybrid application delivery solutions.
- Experience with monitoring or observability platforms.
- Traffic Optimization: Load balancing strategies, health monitoring, and high availability design.
- Security: Application protection, threat mitigation, and secure access controls.
- Encryption: Certificate management and troubleshooting secure communications.
- Custom Logic: Creating and maintaining rules to control traffic behavior.
- Global Distribution: Supporting applications across multiple locations or regions.
