Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire a Customer Service / Data Entry Specialist. This position plays a key role in supporting order processing and customer interactions, ensuring accurate data management and timely communication across internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls and emails from customers and internal teams regarding order updates, shipment schedules, and account inquiries
- Manage a high volume of communications related to order changes, inventory updates, and distribution needs
- Enter, review, and maintain accurate order and customer data within an ERP system
- Process customer requests tied to order fulfillment, including pricing, product details, documentation, and shipment tracking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer accounts to ensure a high level of service
- Coordinate order timelines and confirm delivery commitments in alignment with company guidelines
- Follow established procedures to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently
- Review purchase orders throughout the lifecycle to verify pricing and ensure proper documentation
- Handle order adjustments such as credits, debits, or returns in accordance with internal policies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes
- Assist with reporting and reconciliation tasks to support accurate account and sales data
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution
- Previous experience in customer service with a focus on order entry or fulfillment
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, JDE, or similar required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of supply chain processes and how order changes impact operations
- Ability to quickly learn product information, customer requirements, and shipping standards
- Familiarity with freight, payment, and pricing terms
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary
- Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
