We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of a growing private equity real estate management organization. This role serves as a key part of the corporate entity, with an emphasis on driving operational efficiency, strengthening internal controls, minimizing risk, and supporting advanced financial reporting initiatives.
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including intercompany transactions and consolidation of company-wide financial results.
- Develop and maintain operational risk assessment processes while enhancing system workflows to support scalability, strengthen controls, and reduce fraud risk across accounts payable, expense reporting, and other key financial processes.
- Administer and calculate complex compensation programs, including bonus accruals, carried interest structures, partner capital tracking, and related accounting activities.
- Manage expense allocation processes to ensure transaction and deal-related costs are accurately assigned across management entities, investment funds, and property portfolios in a compliant and supportable manner.
- Utilize financial and operational data to automate reporting processes, improve visibility into key performance metrics, and streamline the integration of information across reporting platforms.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages that analyze actual performance against budget, provide insights into liquidity and profitability, and support annual budgeting and broader financial planning initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish and improve financial processes that support business objectives while responding promptly to internal reporting and information requests.
- Serve as the primary finance systems expert, ensuring financial platforms are optimized and effectively utilized to support operational and reporting needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting personnel by promoting technical growth, continuous learning, and a high-performance team environment.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and other business-driven initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
- Big 4 experience and CPA license strongly preferred. Both candidates directly from public accounting with 5-8 years of experience or those with both public accounting and private equity/real estate are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work in Irvine, CA office 5 days a week.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
