Controller
An established aerospace & defense manufacturer is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions during a period of significant projected growth. The company is entering an exciting stage of expansion and has added experienced industry leadership to help drive its continued growth.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will manage a team of 3 to 4 accounting professionals and oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audit, and government contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead accounting operations and financial reporting, including AP, AR, cost accounting, payroll, and cash management
• Manage and develop a team of 3 to 4 accounting professionals
• Oversee monthly and year end close and financial statement preparation
• Prepare and analyze annual, monthly, and departmental budgets
• Lead the annual financial audit and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Government contracting requirements, including FAR and DFARS
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting processes, and reporting procedures
• Support accounting and reporting needs within the company’s ERP environment
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Government contracting accounting experience required
• Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS required
• Prior accounting leadership or team management experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations
• Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred
• Deltek Costpoint experience preferred
• Ability to operate as a hands on leader while maintaining oversight of the broader accounting function
Salary : $130,000 - $180,000
