Mechanical Assembler – Aerospace / Electronics

Location: Longwood, FL
Pay: $15/hr (DOE)

Schedule: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Fridays

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support the assembly of precision aerospace and electronic components in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with small, high-precision parts.

Minimum Qualifications for Mechanical Assembler:

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and work instructions

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools

• Basic math skills (measurements and tolerances)

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or clean production environment

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

• 1–3 years of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience

• Aerospace or electronics manufacturing experience

• Experience with build-to-print assemblies

• Familiarity with torque specifications and close-tolerance work

• Willingness to work varied shifts to support production surges

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training

What You'll Do:

• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components per build-to-print drawings

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions

• Follow Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs) and job travelers

• Use hand and power tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, and gauges

• Perform assembly of small, close-tolerance components

• Verify part quality and conformance to specifications

• Accurately record labor, production data, and traceability information

• Follow ESD, FOD, and safety requirements

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Support quality and production goals by meeting schedule and efficiency targets
