Electrical Installer (Rigid Conduit)
Location: Orlando, FL
Pay Rate: $20 - $26 DOE
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Rigid Conduit Technician to support electrical installations for gas turbine efficiency and power generation projects. This role is responsible for the layout, installation, bending, threading, and securing of rigid conduit systems in industrial environments while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
The ideal candidate has experience working in industrial facilities, power plants, energy environments, or turbine-related operations and is comfortable working in fast-paced field conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Install, bend, thread, cut, and secure rigid metal conduit (RMC) and other conduit systems according to blueprints and specifications
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
Support installation and maintenance of electrical systems related to gas turbine operations and efficiency equipment
Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring through conduit systems
Measure and plan conduit runs to ensure proper alignment and functionality
Utilize hand tools, power tools, hydraulic benders, and threading equipment safely and effectively
Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and company safety procedures
Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and project teams to complete installations on schedule
Troubleshoot conduit and electrical installation issues in the field
Maintain clean and organized work areas while following strict industrial safety protocols
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site-specific training
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience installing rigid conduit in industrial or commercial environments
Experience in power generation, turbine, energy, manufacturing, or heavy industrial settings preferred
Strong knowledge of NEC codes and industrial electrical standards
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Skilled in conduit bending, threading, and layout calculations
Ability to operate lifts, ladders, and industrial equipment safely
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or travel to project sites if needed
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in varying industrial environments for extended periods
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, and noisy environments
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
Preferred Skills
Experience working around gas turbines, compressors, generators, or power distribution systems
Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and controls
Experience with cable tray installation and industrial electrical support systems
Strong teamwork and communication skills
