Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time ServSafe Manager to oversee food safety compliance and assist with daily store operations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in retail or food service management. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of customer service, inventory control, and team management within our establishment. Prior experience in supervisory roles, training & development, and administrative tasks will be highly valued.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with ServSafe food safety standards and regulations
- Supervise daily store operations, including shift management and customer service excellence
- Lead employee orientation, training, and development to foster a productive team environment
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, and stock replenishment to optimize store efficiency
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering, and POS operations to ensure accuracy and security
- Assist with merchandising, pricing strategies, and store presentation to enhance sales performance
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting efforts to build a strong team
- Maintain bookkeeping records, payroll processing, and basic budgeting tasks
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and increase sales
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies related to health & safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven management or supervisory experience within retail or food service environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and administrative tasks
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while demonstrating leadership qualities
- Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, and shift management
- Proficiency in marketing strategies and merchandising techniques
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous assistant manager or store management experience preferred
