The Video Producer role is focused on video production and editing for The Woodsmith Shop TV show as well as diverse digital platforms, including brand websites, elearning courses, social media channels, custom and sponsored content. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with a keen understanding of channel-specific user engagement, bringing an audience-first approach to each project.
This role requires an innovative thinker who can develop engaging, on-brand content that aligns with audience expectations and platform requirements. This person will have experience working with video editing software including, but not restricted to, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro as well as being able to collaborate with backend operators of the website to structure a publishing and archiving process for all video assets. They report and collaborate with the Executive Digital Editor and Executive Editor to develop content planning menus and scheduling.
The Video Producer is adept at project management tools such as Trello/Jira. This individual must be aware and supportive of the brand’s business objectives and be adaptable to changing business needs and content distribution methods as technology evolves. The measure of success for this position will be based on engagement metrics, traffic growth within specific channels, and the consistent on-time delivery of quality content.

Requirements
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shoot, produce, and edit 13 episodes of the Woodsmith Shop for each season along with any online extra videos to accompany those episodes.
- Script, shoot, produce and edit high-quality videos, from concept to post-production, for use on websites, elearning courses, custom videos, sponsored content, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Platform-specific optimization by tailoring video content for optimal engagement on various platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, brand websites), understanding the unique aspects and audiences of each.
- Work collaboratively with the digital and print editorial teams to develop storyboards and visual concepts that meet strategic goals.
- Leverage UX principles to create content that enhances user engagement and satisfaction. Ensure that video and multimedia content aligns with UX best practices, creating a seamless and intuitive viewing experience.
- Create and maintain a robust and organized file management system to organize all media assets and related contracts.
- Design and integrate motion graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance video narratives.
- Manage a consistent flow of multimedia assets through project management tools (e.g. Trello/Jira), ensuring timely delivery and coordination across campaigns and projects.
- Track video performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future content.
- Occasional still-photography support of print editorial teams.
- Work with the team across brand to support special initiatives and projects including but not limited to e-learning events, online webinars, advertising/sponsored programming, and social media "live" feeds.
