Staff Accountant - Automotive Parts Manufacturer (36540)

A global manufacturing corporation is searching for a Senior Accountant candidate to support their accounting department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage fixed assets from construction/in-progress projects through capitalization.
• Work with external tax professionals on corporate taxes, tax filings, and annual tax calculations.
• Calculate product costs, including materials, labor, and production costs.
• Update standard costs when there are changes in production processes or prices.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Prepare budget variance reports and analyze account balances.
• Prepare and enter journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Perform financial analysis as needed.
• Report cash balances to the Accounting Manager and manage loan payments and investments.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Provide financial data and documents for annual audits.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Able to understand technical forms and financial reports
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to become proficient in company information system
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform regular physical activity
• This position will not support visa sponsorships
