Spanish / English Bilingual HR Generalist (36138)

An international food distributor is currently searching for a motivated Spanish / English Bilingual HR Generalist to support their office to the north of the Secaucus,

NJ area. The ideal candidate has previous Human Resources experience in an industrial environment, and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

This is a full-time, direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package and potential for career advancement.

Spanish/ English Bilingual HR Generalist Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct new hire onboarding and orientations for multiple facilities, including providing information on company policies and benefits
• Support expatriate employees from Japan, and ensure a smooth transition for new expat employees by assisting with travel scheduling, obtaining US work authorization and driver’s licenses, etc.
• Provide administration support to the HR department at large, and specific support for executive management
• Schedule travel, appointments, and meetings for executive managers and external visitors, and track / submit expense reports and consistently maintain calendars
• Assist with analysis of department functions and participate in improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Spanish/ English Bilingual HR Generalist Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Human Resources-related field preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish with business-level fluency.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in human resources, ideally within the manufacturing industry
• Familiarity with local and federal regulations regarding employment laws, and safety and environmental standards
• Japanese language ability and / or experience working with Japanese-owned companies is a plus but not required
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
