SMT Field Service Technician-Equipment 34674

An international SMT equipment company around the Duluth GA is currently looking for a SMT Field Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience with calibrating and troubleshooting Surface Mount Technology.

This is a full-time and direct hire position on day shift.

SMT Field Service Technician Responsibilities Include:

• Inspection, testing, and repair of surface mount units and warranty parts
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on machinery and returned units
• Machine / equipment set-up and installation
• Collaborate with internal departments and colleagues to ensure proper inventory levels and timely logistics operations
• Keep up-to-date on new technology and technical skills as needed
• Other duties as assigned

SMT Field Service Technician Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field preferred
• Knowledge of surface mount technology and related electrical and mechanical components
• Ability to read, interpret, and improve electrical and mechanical drawings
• Good computer skills and experience utilizing computerized inventory and ordering systems
• This position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
