A global freight forwarding company is seeking an Import / Export logistic Coordinator to join their office in Jamaica, NY. 1~3 years of working experience in the freight forwarding industry or work experience in customer service field preferred, a A.A. degree, and excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). This is a full-time and direct hire position. Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!
Import / Export logistic Coordinator Duties:
- Coordinate international air, ocean, and ground freight shipments
- Arrange bookings with airlines, steamship lines, and trucking companies
- Prepare and review shipping documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB)
- Manage AES filings and export documentation
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and export control requirements
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and documentation requirements
- Work closely with customs brokers and overseas agents
- Monitor cargo movement and resolve delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate shipment records in TMS / ERP systems
- Support government-related shipments in compliance with federal regulations
Import / Export logistic Coordinator Skills:
- 1~3 years of experience in freight forwarding or international logistics
- Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight operations
- Experience preparing export documentation and AES filings
- Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping terms
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills
- Japanese language will be an asset, not mandatory
- Due to the nature of certain government-related shipments and applicable export control regulations, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
