We are a growing logistics company seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Air Export Coordinator to join our team. This is a hybrid position ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in air export or freight forwarding who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
In this role, you will manage international air export shipments from start to finish, ensure all documentation is accurate, coordinate with carriers and partners, and help keep shipments moving on time. We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international air export shipments from booking through departure
- Prepare and review export documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and related shipping documents
- Communicate with airlines, truckers, warehouses, overseas agents, customs brokers, and customers regarding shipment status and requirements
- Ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, FAA, and U.S. export regulations
- Arrange airline bookings and confirm schedules with carriers
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely movement
- Provide shipment updates to customers and internal departments
- Resolve delays, documentation issues, and shipment discrepancies promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate shipment records, files, and billing information
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and sales teams to support customer needs
- Follow company procedures and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in air export, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination
- Strong knowledge of international air export procedures and documentation
- Familiarity with TSA, IATA, FAA, and U.S. export compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight forwarding or logistics software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a freight forwarding or 3PL environment
- Knowledge of AES filing and export compliance processes
- Experience with urgent, priority, or time-sensitive cargo
- Strong customer service mindset
