What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Forwarder position at World Wide Central Freight?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating shipments with Shippers and Receivers Corresponding with overseas agents and clients.
Working with steamship/airlines/trucking companies to obtain quotations and handle the movement of freight Preparing quotations for clients and
overseas offices/ agents Issuing documentation (ie. Bill of ladings , AWBs, C.O.s, etc.). Handling the files from A to Z Learning and applying
U.S. Government regulations (ie. AES submissions) Knowledge of Air and Sea Export / Import operations is a plus.
Job Requirements:
The candidate must: 2-5 years’ experience in handling Sea Export / Import shipments preferred to Be able to work independently, multi-task, be a team
player and work in a fast-paced environment Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Have excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook,
Excel and Word. IATA DG Certification a plus TSA training Certification a plus
