An international Food company is seeking a Bilingual English/Japanese Service Representative in the Technical Department to join their team in Torrance, CA. This position is responsible for responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, etc. An AA degree or higher, 1 years of inside sales / customer service experience in a similar industry, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required, and the ability to conversational Japanese language is a big plus but not mandatory. This is a full-time, in-person, exempt position with excellent benefits and 401k. (M-F)
Service Representative Duties:
-Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, etc.
-Performs quotation processing over the phone, email and fax.
-Enter orders into the system and confirm orders to customer via email/fax.
-Process shipping instructions and packing lists to warehouse.
-Filing orders and checking customer’s open orders.
-Perform Physical Inventory when necessary.
-Back up billing role for the office and other branches when necessary.
-Process internal transfers
-Other additional tasks may be assigned
Service Representative Skills:
-Must have an AA degree or higher
-Conversational Japanese language skill is a big plus but not mandatory
-Must have 1 years of inside sales / customer service experience in a similar industry
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, PowerPoint)
-Strong interpersonal skills (both oral and written)
-Interest in Japanese (food) culture
