An International IT Service and Solutions prover serving the automotive industry is seeking a results-driven HPC Linux Systems Administrator/Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) System Administrator to support and optimize enterprise level environments powering advanced engineering simulations and CAE . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise-level of Linux Administration, HPC worklad magement, automation and CAE.
Main Responsibilities;
HPC Job Scheduling & Workload Management
- Administer and optimize HPC schedulers such as IBM Spectrum LSF, Open PBS, Slurm, or equivalent
- Configure job queues, scheduling policies, and resource allocation strategies
- Monitor cluster utilization and improve overall system efficiency and throughput
CAE Application & Licensing Support
- Install, upgrade, and support CAE applications in production environments
- Integrate CAE tools with HPC scheduling systems
- Manage software licensing platforms such as FlexLM and RLM
- Troubleshoot simulation and application-related issues with minimal business disruption
Linux Administration & Automation
- Maintain and administer RHEL-based HPC environments
- Perform OS deployment, provisioning, and patch management
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Shell, Perl, Awk, or equivalent
- Maintain system monitoring, logging, and operational procedures
Infrastructure & Hardware Support
- Troubleshoot servers, storage, and high-speed networking technologies including InfiniBand
- Support hardware installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Perform health checks, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Document configurations, SOPs, and operational best practices
- Support change management and production deployments
- Generate utilization and performance reporting
Other related tasks
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field.
3 years of Linux system administration experience (preferably RHEL)
Hands-on HPC cluster administration experience
Experience with schedulers such as LSF, PBS, or Slurm
Strong scripting and automation skills
Experience supporting CAE applications and engineering environments
Knowledge of enterprise storage, networking, and server infrastructure
Familiarity with CAE tools such as:
- Ansys
- LS-DYNA
- Nastran
Experience with InfiniBand or high-performance networking is a plus
Experience building internal tools or dashboards is a plus
Japanese language and cultural experinec is plus.
