A global logistics company is currently seeking a Vessel Operations Coordinator to join their team in Englewood, NJ.
This position is ideal for candidates who are interested in international shipping, vessel operations, and global logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with vessel captains, port agents, and charterers to support daily vessel operations and ensure smooth voyage execution. This is a direct hire, full time and onsite position.
Vessel Operations Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor vessel operating status and movements
• Prepare and issue voyage instructions and coordinate appointments with port agents
• Handle freight invoicing to charterers and arrange remittances to port agents
• Communicate with vessel captains and port agents via phone and email regarding voyage operations
• Arrange bunker fuel and lubricant supply for vessels
• Support crew-related arrangements as needed
Vessel Operations Coordinator Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Spanish language skills are a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in maritime operations, logistics, or transportation industries preferred
