What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist -- Automotive Parts Manufacturer (36202) position at Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions?
An automotive parts manufacturing company in the Piqua, OH area is currently searching for an Accounting Specialist to join their facility. You will report to the Accounting Supervisor. You will perform all necessary bookkeeping (data entry, vendor payments, closing reconciliations, tax preparation, etc.). The ideal candidate will have previous Accounting experience within an industrial environment.
This is a full-time/direct-hire position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays & vacation.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry, weekly vendor payments, monthly & quarterly closing, tax preparation, recordkeeping
- Handle financial activities, accounting functions, accounting computer operations
- Contribute to the annual budget preparation
- Contribute to the annual financial audit
- Create & distribute financial reports
- Work with cross-functional teams to meet customer & company requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
- At least 3-5 years of accounting experience is required
- Advanced Excel experience required (PivotTables, formulas, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task (handle multiple projects when necessary)
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Sage 500 ERP software experience is preferred
