An international industrial machinery manufacturer based in Addison, IL area is seeking a Field Service Engineer who is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of machinery at customer sites. This is a remote position but candidates must be within a reasonable distance to an airport and be able to travel up to 75 percent across the United States.
Responsibilities Include:
- Travel to customer sites to repair machinery or supervise the repair through subcontractors and/or customers’ maintenance people
- Oversee project management and perform machinery inspections
- Prepare quotations for service to customers
- Prepare and present final reports to customers
- Provide warranty service and support
- Maintain customer relationship and promote parts sales
Requirements:
- Prefer at least an Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of related field service experience
- At least 3 years of industrial machine maintenance experience
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and electrical systems
- Ability to travel up to 75 percent
- Must have valid driver’s license
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
