Industrial Painter/Blaster (#36082)

An international company in the Houston area of La Porte, TX is currently seeking an Industrial Painter/Blaster. This is a direct-hire job opportunity. Work Hours: M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (OT as needed).

Industrial Painter/Blaster Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces to be painted/blasted, examining the surfaces of the products that are to be treated to ensure no issues are present
• Perform regular checks on paint and E-COAT equipment
• Order the appropriate paint and any other necessary supplies
• Prepare and mix paints and other additives
• Apply paints and check the finished item to ensure there are no issues
• Perform regular maintenance on tools, equipment and machinery
• Other duties, as assigned by management

Industrial Painter/Blaster Qualifications:

• Ability to operate sandblasting and painting machinery and equipment
• In-depth knowledge of characteristics of paints and materials
• Familiarity with workplace safety regulations
• Professionalism and attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed
• This position includes work in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
