Accounting Specialist

Summary:

A leading international manufacturer of automotive components located near Fraziers Botto , WV is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This position will provide comprehensive accounting support across multiple functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in daily operations

Responsibility:

• Assist with month-end closing by preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.
• Maintain organized records of accounting documents, including invoices, receipts, and journals.
• Upload and process CSV data for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain integrity of financial records.
• Support payroll processing and reporting through Paycor in collaboration with the Accounting Manager.
• Process vendor invoices and coordinate timely payments through online banking.
• Match purchase orders and receipts with invoices.
• Generate and submit customer invoices, including data uploads for major clients
• Reconcile customer accounts and support collection activities.
• Prepare monthly AR aging reports and highlight overdue balances.
• Track fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare supporting schedules for state and federal tax filings.
• Provide documentation and data for internal and external audits.
• Respond to accounting department phone calls and emails.
• Contribute to departmental efficiency initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities.

• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, lift in excess of 20 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate or above).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, punctual, and a strong team player.
