Summary:

The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for developing and managing key customer accounts, driving new business opportunities, and supporting the company's long‑term growth strategy in the steel / metal industry. This role requires a proven track record in industrial sales, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of steel or metal products and markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share in the steel/metal industry.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer forecasts to inform sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (production, logistics, quality) to ensure seamless customer support.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Sales experience in the steel, metals, or industrial manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of steel plate, structural steel, or related heavy metal products.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) as required.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
