Job Description
The Quality Management (QM) Coordinator supports daily utilization and quality management operations by assisting with health plan and regulatory audits, coordinating required reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external standards. This role also provides backup to the UM team and performs daily audits of referral and authorization data to maintain accuracy and adherence to procedures. Key duties include pulling reports using Excel/PowerPoint, extensive telephonic and text campaign outreach to members, monitoring responses, and assisting with appointment scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Assist with health plan and regulatory audits.
- Coordinate required reporting and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Provide backup support to the UM team.
- Perform daily audits of referral and authorization data.
- Pull reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Conduct telephonic and text campaign outreach to members.
- Monitor responses and assist with appointment scheduling.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience performing detailed, time-sensitive administrative and clerical processes.
- Experience interacting professionally with diverse clientele, including management and health plan representatives.
- High School Diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Back office or front office medical assistant experience preferred.
- One year of experience in Utilization Management or Quality Management within a managed care setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Utilization Management or Quality Management databases preferred.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fully onsite office environment with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. There are nine staff members in the department, and the dress code is scrubs. The role is initially a contract position with the potential to become permanent.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Victorville, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
