Superintendent

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee a hospital upgrade project, including chillers and piping upgrades, in Corpus Christi, TX. This project spans four months, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. Travel includes mileage reimbursement for mobilization and demobilization, with approximately 90% of the General Services Administration (GSA) maximum for per diem days.

Responsibilities

• Develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for the completion of the assigned project.
• Collaborate with other staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
• Coordinate and schedule work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating instructions and project assignments as necessary.
• Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness, preparing and providing progress reports to owners and architects, and recommend necessary modifications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and regulations are met.
• Ensure specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
• Obtain required permits and licenses and execute construction contracts according to the terms of the agreement.
• Monitor the budget throughout the project and communicate variances as they occur.
• Maintain records related to costs and inventory.
• Address any safety violations or other deficiencies.
• Collaborate with union representatives to answer questions and clarify procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 5 years of superintendent experience
• Experience in general building/commercial construction
• OSHA 10 certification
• Proficiency with Procore or CM software

• Experience with construction management
• Familiarity with subcontractor management
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus

This role involves working on-site in Corpus Christi, TX, with travel and mileage reimbursement provided. The work schedule will depend on the project timeline, and there is no set home rotation. The superintendent will collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and construction standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
