Job Description

As a Civil Project Manager in Land Development, you will lead a diverse portfolio of Civil Engineering projects from conception to completion. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives on technical challenges, communication, and leadership. You will apply your experience to all aspects of the project including field observation, due diligence, site layout design, utility, and stormwater design techniques, permitting, and construction administration. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding projects with clear communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and strategic oversight. In addition to managing timelines and quality standards, you’ll mentor your team by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring each project meets—or exceeds—expectations. Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects across various clients simultaneously, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met and communicated.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Participate in new client pursuits as necessary.
• Manage the financial performance for projects, including accounts receivable, profit, and efficiency.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Manage project plans including allocating resources, preparing and monitoring project budgets, and scheduling within project parameters.
• Provide risk assessment on projects, estimate potential risks along with costs and probabilities.
• Define design criteria and supervise efficient design and plan preparation ensuring quality and compliance with company, client, and industry standards.
• Demonstrate an understanding of constructability and complex design and identify liability issues related to design and construction.
• Coordinate effectively with internal disciplines and external project teams.
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Project Designers.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation preferred.
• 8 years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience in site/civil production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, hospitality, and/or fueling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with or willingness to learn software such as TR-20, TR-55, HEC-1, HydroCAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, and WaterCAD for site development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
