Job Description
As a Civil Project Manager specializing in Land Development, you will support our Architecture and Engineering services by leading a diverse portfolio of Civil Engineering projects from conception to completion. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives on technical challenges, effective communication, and leadership. You will apply your expertise to all aspects of the project including field observation, due diligence, site layout design, utility and stormwater design techniques, permitting, and construction administration. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, you will guide projects with clear communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and strategic oversight. In addition to managing timelines and quality standards, you will mentor your team by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring each project meets or exceeds expectations. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects across various clients simultaneously, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met and communicated.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
- Participate in new client pursuits as necessary.
- Manage the financial performance for projects, including accounts receivable, profit, and efficiency.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
- Manage project plans including allocating resources, preparing and monitoring project budgets, and scheduling within project parameters.
- Provide risk assessment on projects, estimating potential risks along with costs and probabilities.
- Define design criteria and supervise efficient design and plan preparation ensuring quality and compliance with company, client, and industry standards.
- Demonstrate an understanding of constructability and complex design and identify liability issues related to design and construction.
- Coordinate effectively with internal disciplines and the external project team.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Project Designers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- 8 years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience in site/civil production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, hospitality, and/or fueling.
- Experience with or willingness to learn TR-20, TR-55, HEC-1, HydroCAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, and WaterCAD for site development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in civil engineering principles.
This is a Permanent position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
