Project Manager

The Project Manager II will manage capital project scopes of work at nuclear plants, specifically Prairie Island and Monticello. This role involves handling nuclear plant modifications, equipment replacements, and facility upgrades. The position requires onsite coordination with stakeholders, interfacing with the maintenance and engineering departments, and implementing various projects.

Responsibilities

• Deploy individuals to projects and manage license extensions from 60 to 80 years.
• Coordinate and source vendors, initiate and manage contracts, and monitor financials.
• Conduct weekly meetings and present to gain approval for authorization.
• Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget while managing risks.
• Conduct field/plant observations and work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support a large team under the director of nuclear projects and collaborate with key stakeholders.

• 5-7 years of project management experience with projects worth at least $1 million.
• Cradle-to-grave project management experience.
• US citizenship is required.
• Experience with SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera.

• Nuclear background is strongly preferred.
• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background is preferred.
• ABET accreditation is desirable.
• Finance background is beneficial.
• Ex-Navy (submarine/navy) nuclear experience preferred if no commercial experience.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• SRO certification or license is beneficial.

The role is non-remote and site-based, with some flexibility in work arrangements approved by the reporting manager. Travel is rare and reimbursed at cost. The position involves working at a desk with field/plant visits for observation. Standard work hours are 40 hours per week with potential for pre-authorized overtime. During outages, a minimum of 60 hours per week is expected, with 12-hour days, 6-7 days per week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr.
