Job Title: Order Entry Technician

The Order Entry/Customer Service Pharmacy Technician is responsible for handling order entry and triage tasks. This role involves managing incoming calls, communicating with LTC facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, and processing drug orders received through faxes and other mediums. The technician also answers medication-related queries and prepares documents for order entry by highlighting pertinent information. Responsibilities include calling on new admissions to LTC facilities and resolving order issues by reviewing previous orders and understanding the Automatic Dispensing Unit. Order entry duties require entering medication orders efficiently at a rate of 40-45 orders per hour.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct incoming calls appropriately.
• Communicate with LTC facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians.
• Process drug orders received via faxes and other forms.
• Answer questions related to medications.
• Triage incoming faxes and assess patient profiles to decide on order placement.
• Prepare documents by highlighting important information for order entry.
• Call on new admissions to LTC facilities.
• Resolve issues with orders by reviewing previous orders and understanding the Automatic Dispensing Unit.
• Enter medication orders at a rate of 40-45 per hour.

• Proficiency with SIG codes.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in KS.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with data entry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.

• Experience in customer service roles at Target, Walgreens, CVS, Cub Foods, or similar.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician.

This position is located in a quiet office environment and involves production-based, repetitive tasks. The role is part of a closed-door setting where employees work in their own cubicles, allowing for predictable scheduling. The company is technology-driven, offering a start-up atmosphere as it continues to grow and refine its processes. The position is full-time, with working hours from 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
