Job Title: Medical Assistant Front Office

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our front office team in Dallas Walnut. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will play a crucial role in providing support to physicians and ensuring a smooth operation within the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate.
• Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain all necessary patient records required by the physician prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures, which involves standing and taking notes while the doctor performs duties.
• Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient telephone calls and refer them to a physician or nurse/pharmacist as needed.
• Phone in prescriptions and make other patient-related calls as directed by physicians and RN.
• Inform physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.
• Perform other administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception as requested by supervisors or physicians.

Essential Skills

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Experience in a similar role is acceptable for non-certified candidates

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Proficiency in medical record management

Work Environment

You will be working in a patient-centered clinic where the physician is highly regarded and takes time with each patient, resulting in a schedule that can occasionally run behind. The physician also attends a satellite office in Denison on Monday mornings. The work environment is supportive and focuses on providing excellent patient care.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
