What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer/drafter position at Actalent?
In this role, you will be responsible for designing various product lines within the water products group. You will create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and provide estimates for sales teams, as well as offer quotes for the design and redesign of existing drawings. Collaboration with manufacturing teams and an electrical engineer is a key aspect of this position.
Responsibilities- Design multiple product lines in the water products group.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and generate estimates for sales teams.
- Provide quotes for design and redesign of existing drawings.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and electrical engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- 3 years of experience with SolidWorks software for designing.
- Proficiency in designing water products is a plus.
- Experience in designing water systems.
- Strong understanding of BOM creation and management.
You will be part of a close-knit team of 9 people within the Water Products group. The position offers a great culture and environment, interacting closely with production and electrical engineers. The company operates in multiple locations across New Berlin, Indiana, and China. It is a privately held organization.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of NEW BERLIN, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
