Manufacturing Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Create manufacturing instructions including bill of material, process routing, & cost estimates • Design tooling and shop aids used in the production process Identify and implement cost reduction projects on legacy products • Make material and construction recommendations as needed • Provide tool designs as required • Document processes and procedures Skills and Experience Requirements • 5-7 years’ experience in production engineering, preferably in the aerospace arena • Ability to estimate run times for machining and assembly operations • ERP systems knowledge and Microsoft Office experience • Experience in CAD / CAM systems • Experience with Mastercam, 3/4/5 Axis is required • Knows how to setup and operate CNC mills and lathes • Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 requirements • Proactive, problem solver with inquisitive nature willing to propose alternative solutions • Cooperative, flexible team player who flourishes in interdisciplinary environment • Experience with measurement instruments including, but not limited to: calipers, verniers, gage blocks, height gages Education and Training: • College degree (Bachelor preferred) in Materials or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent • Additional technical coursework preferred • Must have good English written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to communicate with employees and customers on a variety of levels • Good math skills are required, including geometry and trigonometry. • Proactive, problem solver with inquisitive nature willing to propose alternative solutions

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
