Entry-Level Data Entry Specialist (Open to Recent Grduates) – Contract

Location: Remote (Preference for Danbury, CT area)

Pay: $28–$34/hour

Duration: 3–4 month contract (high likelihood to extend or convert)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Entry Specialist to support a key data cleanup and optimization project within our HR Learning & Development team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience working with data, Excel, and HR systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, task-based work and wants to build foundational skills in data analysis and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter, update, and maintain large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy
• Create and manage Excel trackers to monitor training assignments and completion data
• Review and clean data to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems
• Assist with basic data analysis using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Support the HR Learning Manager with administrative and data-related tasks
• Maintain and update records within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HR systems
• Generate simple reports and organize data for team use
• Help ensure data integrity through regular audits and quality checks

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Business, HR, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data tracking, spreadsheets)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage repetitive, data-heavy tasks
• Interest in data, business operations, or HR

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Internship, academic, or project experience involving data entry or Excel
• Exposure to Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.)
• Familiarity with HR processes or systems
• Strong communication and reliability in a remote work environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Danbury, CT.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
