Learning & Development Specialist (Data-Focused) – Contract
Location: Remote (Preference for Danbury, CT area)
Pay: $28–$34/hour
Duration: 3–4 month contract (high likelihood to extend or convert)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Learning & Development Specialist to support a key data cleanup and optimization project within the HR team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is highly organized, and has a strong interest in data analytics and HR systems.
You’ll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the accuracy of learning data, supporting reporting, and ensuring the effectiveness of learning management processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the HR Learning Manager with day-to-day learning operations and data management
• Create, maintain, and update Excel trackers to monitor training and completion data
• Analyze data using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Perform high-volume data entry, validation, and cleanup with strong attention to accuracy
• Maintain and update records within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HR systems
• Generate reports and organize data to support decision-making
• Assist with LMS administration (assignments, completions, reporting, basic troubleshooting)
• Ensure data integrity across systems through consistent auditing and review
Required Qualifications
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data tracking and analysis)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a data-heavy, task-driven environment
• Interest in data analytics, HR systems, or learning and development
• Experience with data entry, reporting, or administrative coordination
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with a Learning Management System (Cornerstone, Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.)
• Exposure to HRIS or HR operations
• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Business, Data Analytics, HR, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
