An Interior Designer is a collaborative, self-directed professional responsible for supporting the planning, design, coordination, and documentation of interior environments across all phases of a project. This role contributes to the successful delivery of projects through design ideation, technical execution, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
Responsibilities- Contribute to design ideation, development, and execution throughout all project phases.
- Participate in regular project communications, coordination efforts, and team discussions.
- Create design visualization materials, including presentation decks, renderings, and conceptual sketches.
- Produce and coordinate technical drawing sets for all project phases, including Design Development, Construction Documents, permitting, and bidding.
- Conduct material research and support product selection, specifications, and finish schedules.
- Assist with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection and procurement.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure design intent, quality, and technical accuracy.
- Support documentation standards, organization, and consistency across project deliverables.
- Proficiency in Revit and BlueBeam.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- 4 years of experience in the design industry, preferably in multifamily, commercial, or institutional building types.
- Experience with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Additional accreditations such as WELL, Passive House, or similar are highly valued.
- Commercial experience (housing preferred).
- Passion for design and engagement in extracurricular or industry-related activities is encouraged.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
