Job Description

The primary role of the Phlebotomist is to assist with various assigned duties, including troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. The Phlebotomist will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of specimen collection and processing while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate as required.
• Collect and store specimens following established procedures.
• Explain the process of venipuncture, blood drawing, and other specimen collection methods clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand and adhere to all physician orders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.75/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Columbia,SC.
