Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead various construction projects and manage multiple trade contractor crews during construction and through turnover. This role supports a commercial general contractor renowned for delivering high-quality customer interiors and renovation projects across sectors such as restaurants, retail, hospitality, office spaces, and complex exterior work.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Senior VP of Construction Operations and collaborate with Project Managers for each project.
• Coordinate with trade contractors and their subcontractors to ensure completion of high-quality work.
• Supervise large, complex projects from inception to completion.
• Document and communicate work plans effectively.
• Manage the project budget for general contracting and site services.
• Monitor safety performance and ensure safety compliance.
• Lead weekly contractor meetings and oversee daily field reports.
• Communicate effectively with architects and owners.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience supporting custom interior construction projects valued at $1 million.
• Experience working with general contractors, owners, or designers.
• Experience supporting Food & Beverage projects.
• Proficiency in running safety procedures.
• Experience in independently running a project.
• Experience in managing subcontractors.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Client interfacing experience.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment involves 90% of time spent on project sites and 10% in the office for meetings and documentation. Projects are located in the DMV area and typically last 4-6 months. Onsite hours are from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, depending on noise restrictions. The company is known for specializing in large luxury interiors, including hotels, offices, and restaurants, with projects ranging from $500k to $20 million. This is a Permanent position based out of Bethesda, MD.

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
