Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an Field Technician to support our monitoring and maintenance work at a client site (M-F). The role involves gathering landfill well data using an gas analyzer/meter, maintaining pumps by pulling, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and replacing them, and managing SEMs (surface emission monitoring). The technician will have access to company equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Analyze landfill well data using a data tracking system.
- Perform pump maintenance including pulling, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and replacing.
- Read and tune landfill gas systems (we will train!).
- Manage SEMs effectively.
- Ensure accurate data collection and entry.
- Conduct field sampling and environmental testing.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in an outdoor worksite in an environmental or civil capacity.
- Data entry proficiency.
- Mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of landfill gas tuning and reading is a plus, but not required.
- OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus.
- Experience with data collection in the environmental field.
Work Environment
The technician will work across three landfill gas sites, including Johnston, RI, and two additional landfill sites within an hour's drive. The company is the largest environmental engineering firm supporting landfill gas projects across the US. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
