Field Technician

Description

Field Engineering Services (FES), a division of The RISE Group, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill our Field Technician position based out of our Cranston, RI location.   The Field Technician will assist Field Engineers with field condition assessment of boilers, vessels, piping, steam turbines, and related critical components in the power, chemical, food processing and paper mill industries.  This position requires frequent overnight out of town travel.  This position frequently operates in a variety of power and utility plants. This is a temporary position for approximately 3 months.

• General laboring duties (equipment set up, equipment break down, gathering tools, etc.)
• Assist at the project site with field condition assessments.
• Assist at the project site with field inspections of various critical components.
• Operating various types of hand tools and power equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required to support the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform task and adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures.
• Organized, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and conduct themselves professionally.
• Ability to effectively interact with employees from all levels within an organization.
• Ability to practice discretion and good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Field work in power plants or similar industrial facilities is a plus!
• Non-Destructive Testing is a plus!
• Hands on work experience in welding, machining, construction or a similar trade is a plus!
• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is a plus!
• Certifications are a plus (OSHA 10, OSHA 30, ASNT, API, AWS-CWI)!
