Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Early days, afternoons free

We’re hiring an entry-level BIM Specialist (0–2 years experience) to support large-scale electrical data center projects across the Chicago market. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their BIM career who wants hands-on exposure to complex, high-visibility builds while working an early, consistent schedule.

You’ll join a well-established electrical contractor working on major projects ($30M–$150M) and collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a BIM Specialist, you’ll support electrical construction projects from design through installation:

• Produce 2D and 3D electrical BIM drawings for field installation
• Build and maintain 3D electrical models for coordination
• Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Participate in coordination and clash-detection meetings
• Assist with resolving conflicts while considering constructability, budget, and NEC requirements
• Create shop drawings and cross-sections (underground conduit, cabling, electrical systems)
• Support fabrication and field installation with clear, build-ready documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams
• Travel to project sites as needed
• Follow all company safety, quality, and ISO procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 0–2 years of BIM experience (internships or entry-level roles count)
• Exposure to Autodesk Revit (Navisworks a plus)
• Basic understanding of 3D coordination and construction drawings
• Interest in or exposure to electrical construction (contractor-side experience is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
