Electrical Engineer

The role of Electrical Engineer is pivotal in executing successful projects across various industry sectors, with a primary focus on Educational facilities, Municipal/Civic facilities, and Retail. The chosen candidate will serve as a technical expert, lead project engineer, and contribute to business development. This position also involves project management responsibilities, ensuring high customer satisfaction through clear communication and expectation management both internally and externally.

• Act as a project manager and electrical task leader, guiding the project team and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Communicate expectations clearly to all stakeholders and foster a collaborative working environment.
• Lead business development efforts, leveraging experience and contacts in the Minnesota Metro market.
• Contribute to projects in various sectors including educational, municipal, and retail facilities.

• Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Design.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Experience with SCADA systems, programmable logic controllers, and instrumentation.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in building engineering.

• Certificate or diploma from a college, university, or technical/community college in a related area.
• Ability to identify equipment for various disciplines and understand their function.
• Familiarity with the industry in the Minnesota Metro area, preferably with a network of contacts.

The position offers a fully remote work environment, promoting an employee-centric culture that values freedom and flexibility. The ideal candidate will be based in the Minneapolis market but must be available for occasional office meetings. The electrical team consists of approximately 4-6 members, reporting to the director.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, MN.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
