About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Design Director to lead our interior design practice. This individual will provide creative direction, mentor design teams, and ensure the highest level of design excellence across all interior projects. Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design process for interior projects from initial vision through completion.
- Provide design direction and maintain consistency with the firm’s design standards and client goals.
- Manage and mentor a team of interior designers, ensuring professional growth and quality output.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and clients to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Oversee project presentations, material selections, and design documentation.
- Participate in business development efforts, including client presentations and design pitches.
- Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in interior design, with a proven track record of leading design teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-end interiors across commercial, hospitality, or multifamily sectors.
- Expertise in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with large-scale interiors for multifamily, hospitality, or workplace environments.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and current industry trends.
- NCIDQ certification or architecture license is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
