Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. This non-exempt role requires 2-5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will possess strong follow-up and execution skills, along with excellent change management facilitation and communication abilities. A 2 or 4-year degree is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Create an environment and assist leadership and customers in the timely and successful implementation of the business excellence program at the site.
- Act as a change agent to grow culture, leading and motivating others to achieve multiple objectives with urgency, while continuously engaging staff and promoting a sense of team.
- Identify and facilitate process improvement projects and training workshops to drive cultural change.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot distribution and warehouse issues, manage material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design, and create process documentation.
- Actively manage and support the sustenance of Operational Excellence foundations such as 5S, Visual Factory, and GMP standards.
- Ensure audit compliance for EHS Safety, meeting compliance standards, and maintaining zero major audit observations, near misses, and BBS.
- Assist and support management to ensure all employees are participating in activities and training programs.
Essential Skills
- Strong follow-up and execution skills.
- Strong change management facilitation skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, process improvement, lean manufacturing.
- 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in customer interaction, change management team leadership, and root cause analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2 or 4-year degree in a relevant field.
Work Environment
The work environment involves a focus on operational excellence with the use of methodologies such as 5S and Visual Factory. The role requires ensuring compliance with EHS Safety standards and maintaining a collaborative and team-oriented culture. The position involves working closely with leadership and staff to implement business excellence programs and facilitate cultural change.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
