Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Manager to oversee and enhance the safety performance of leased data center construction projects. This critical leadership role involves supporting Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety oversight and performance assurance.
- Evaluate lease partner safety programs against contractual requirements and company standards.
- Conduct site safety observations and performance assessments.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement in safety performance.
- Support implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely notification of incidents and coordinate with stakeholders on incident escalation.
- Review incident investigations and validate corrective actions.
- Participate in weekly high-risk activity planning and conduct field safety walks.
- Evaluate effectiveness of risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Support safe execution of high-risk activities including electrical, energy isolation, and material handling.
- Complete and submit daily site observations and weekly activity reports.
- Serve as a liaison between company and lease partner safety teams.
- Promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture.
- Provide coaching and guidance to project stakeholders.
- Drive alignment between company expectations and lease partner execution.
- 5 years of experience in construction safety, EHS, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Experience working with construction contractors.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and consultative mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in data center or mission-critical construction.
- Familiarity with high-risk activity programs and electrical safety environments.
- Professional certifications such as CHST, OHST, or CSP.
This role is based onsite in Abilene, TX, requiring local presence. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. You will utilize various tools and systems such as Enablon for inspections and audits, SharePoint for document collaboration, and Outlook/Teams for communication. The position involves working closely with diverse teams to ensure safety compliance and improvement.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $107.00/hr.
