Safety Coordinator – Compliance & Policy (Industrial Services)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator focused on building, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures that ensure full regulatory compliance and protect personnel across all operations.
This role is responsible for establishing a structured, auditable safety framework supporting operations in mechanical flushing, reverse osmosis (RO) filtration, chiller false load commissioning, fuel transport, and direct-to-equipment fueling. The Safety Coordinator will drive consistency across projects by standardizing procedures, ensuring adherence, and maintaining documentation that withstands internal and external audits.
Primary Responsibilities (Policy, Compliance, and Enforcement)
- Develop, formalize, and continuously improve company-wide safety policies, SOPs, and procedural manuals
- Establish and maintain a compliance management system aligned with:
- OSHA regulations
- DOT fuel transport requirements
- NFPA standards
- Client-specific (data center / mission-critical) safety protocols
- Author and standardize:
- Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs)
- Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Pre-Task Plans (PTPs)
- LOTO procedures and energy isolation standards
- Implement document control and ensure versioning, distribution, and field adoption of all safety procedures
- Conduct routine and unannounced compliance audits to verify adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify gaps in compliance and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain complete and audit-ready records, including:
- Training logs
- Incident reports
- SDS documentation
- Inspection and audit reports
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and procedural updates to prevent recurrence
- Ensure all operations involving:
- High-pressure flushing systems
- RO filtration equipment
- Fuel handling and transfer
- are governed by clearly defined and enforced procedures
- Interface with client safety teams and regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Establish and track safety KPIs (TRIR, near-miss reporting, audit findings, closure rates)Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in safety compliance, policy development, or HSE program management within industrial, mechanical, or fuel-related operations
- Demonstrated experience writing and implementing safety policies and procedures
- Strong working knowledge of:
- OSHA standards and enforcement practices
- DOT regulations (fuel transport / hazmat)
- NFPA codes related to fuel and fire safety
- Experience supporting data center or mission-critical infrastructure environments preferred
- OSHA 30 required (OSHA 500 strongly preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Preferred Certifications
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- HAZWOPER (40-Hour)
- DOT Hazmat Certification
- NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety)

Pay: $63,260.98 - $80,000.00 per year
