CAD Drafter/Designer
Description
- Prepare, review, and update product and pipe support drawings and specifications.
- Design components for both new products and enhancements to existing products or applications.
- Review drawings and bills of materials produced by CADD/Designers to ensure accuracy and reduce or eliminate manufacturing rework.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment to deliver accurate, high‑quality work.
- Participate in meetings and work closely with estimating, manufacturing, operations, production, and customer personnel to support quality design of new or redesigned products.
- Confirm that design concepts are technically sound and aligned with budget requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of industry practices and apply applicable codes and standards to assigned designs.
- Demonstrate proficiency working within MicroStation, NAVISWORKS, and AutoCAD environments.
- Ensure electronic design files and engineering documentation are properly maintained and securely stored.
- Review and verify drawings and documentation for compliance with engineering standards prior to release to manufacturing.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Vocational or technical school certification or diploma in CAD Design or Drafting.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in a 3D modeling environment, with a focus on pipe support design.
- An associate degree in industrial design or engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedural requirements.
- Working knowledge of, or experience with, ASME B31.1 and B31.3 is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications as required for the role.
- Strong conceptual skills with the ability to visualize completed products and projects; experience with computer‑aided and structural drafting is preferred.
- Goal‑oriented and able to succeed in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong creative problem‑solving abilities. Capable of effectively exchanging information with customers and coordinating drawing and report details with engineers and technicians.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kodak, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
