Aseptic Technician – Overnight Shift

Position Overview

The Aseptic Technician is responsible for washing glassware and medical components, performing aseptic cleaning and packaging activities, and maintaining aseptic samples within an ISO‑classified cleanroom. This role requires strict adherence to GMP standards, routine equipment monitoring, and participation in safety initiatives. Candidates must be detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a controlled cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Glassware & Component Washing — Clean and prepare glassware and medical components using designated equipment.
• Cleanroom Operations — Work in ISO‑6 and ISO‑7 cleanrooms while wearing full gowning/PPE for extended periods.
• Aseptic Cleaning & Packaging — Perform aseptic cleaning, handling, and packaging of products.
• Sample Management — Maintain aseptic samples in compliance with GMP requirements.
• Process & Equipment Monitoring — Monitor process systems for proper operation and escalate issues as needed.
• Preventative Maintenance — Perform daily/weekly PM tasks and support the maintenance team.
• Safety Participation — Participate in safety committees and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Documentation Compliance — Accurately complete all required documentation following GDP and SOPs.
• Sanitization Duties — Clean, sanitize, and disinfect workstations before and after use.
• Additional Duties — Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor and adapt to varying client/project needs.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Aseptic Technique and sterile handling
• Sterilization Knowledge
• Laboratory Experience
• Cleanroom Experience (ISO‑classified environments)
• GMP Understanding
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility
• 1–2 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or related regulated industries

Work Environment & Schedule

• Work in ISO‑6 and ISO‑7 cleanrooms with full gowning for 6–10 hours with breaks.
• This is an Overnight Shift position.
• Monday–Friday schedule (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fairfield,NJ.
